LANDSCAPE AND PROJECT

These three researches inside the LANDSCAPE AND PROJECT laboratory try to focus, from the contemporary point of view, on different ways in the relation between theory and practice of the planning; and an object so difficult to define with a plan as it is the complex strucure of the landscape.

L’EUROPA DEL PAESAGGIO/THE LANDSCAPE EUROPE should catch its specifity following a geographical condition that is, moreover, a cultural condition. An attitude, the european one over the landscape, that can’t be limited to the prerogative of a salvaguardia? Of the historycal consolidated context, but should look at the reasons (and shapes) of a becoming in the contiuous identity, even in its molteplicity of displays that express themselves in different places, territories, countries.

In the same way, complementary to the first, a second research could dedicate itself to investigate and verify,or so we hope, unpublished experiences of the construction of a PAESAGGIO DEL PROGETTO URBANO/URBAN PROJECT  LANDSCAPE, giving to the city a pre-eminence to demonstrate the architectonical artificiality, menat as a translator of characters potentialities and contestual identities, full of landscape values.

There where is higher the concentration of presences, functions, resources, value, or where the city’s form reinvent itself, out of preset schemes, to assert different and alternative reasons for the settlement.

In a close-up comparison with possibilities of reciprocal tangencies, between territoriality and urbanity of the planned landscape, becomes essential a reflection upon the transmissibility, cultural and formative, of the link between plan and landscape.

LAND ARCH is the title of a third research that will therefore try to understand  

The cultural presuppositions of the landscape schools, and compare them with the learning criteria of a knowledge relating to a project that leaks out directly or indirectly from the architecture of a given context.
