Arch 301-302 / 3rd year studios; term projects of
2009-2011 covered (overleaf)

objectives, catalogue description: Analysis and design of buildings in
relation to their urban context and structural form. Collective housing, new
buildings in historical environments, large span structures; all with emphases
on programmatic complexity, spatial variety and architectonic expression. Duration of course: 14 weeks in a semester
15-20 students in each studio group (4 groups
in 3rd year)
2 lecturers, 1 assistant per studio group
Group projects during research and master
plan stages, individual projects at building scales
Project scales: 1:5000-1:50
Final exam requirements: full presentation of
project with drawings at required scales, concept models, scale models and
accompanying texts (project report with group scenario and program)
